According to the integrity development mode of R&D, manufacturing and service, we have successfully developed and commenced the application of EILog express and imaging logging system, WMD and LWD system, through-casing logging system, casing and cementing monitoring system, coring and in-situ core experimenting system, perforating skill, unified logging processing and interpretation system LEAD softwere, etc. Our such world leading imaging tools as array induction log, micro resistivity scanning log, lateral array log, ultrasonic imaging log, array sonic log, multi-frequency nuclear magnetic resonance log and such LWD system including continuous inclinometer, natural gamma ray, induction resistivity, electromagnetic wave resistivity, and neutron porosity (the application of controllable neutron sources ensures environmentally friendly operation),have been put into wide use. Our rotary side-wall coring tool, the through-casing resistivity log instrument, modular dynamic formation tester, and formation element capturing log will be in its commission soon. Following up with the development target of “construction of an internationally first class logging equipment manufacturing center”, CNPC Logging has made significant progress in equipment manufacturing. Capable of manufacturing 9 models of EILog wireline products, our annual production capacity exceeds 50 sets, in which some products have been exported to Middle East.

Actually the business scope has been expanded to such fields as R&D, conventional logging, imaging logging, MWD&LWD, coring, core experimenting, mud logging, perforating, casing and cementing monitoring, fluid injection profile, residual oil saturation evaluation, quick formation description and instrument manufacturing. We have been applying the patent application for 132 items of technologies, of which 110 have been accepted to go into the regular procedures and 73 have been authorized.
At present, the company has 5,727 staff, of which 562 are senior engineers(equivalent to professors), the company has gathered a large number of outstanding talents who are very professional logging specialists of China’s petroleum industry. Provided with 230 field crews fully equipped with advanced imaging equipments and qualified workers, CNPC Logging is capable of independently undertaking well logging, LWD, mud logging, testing, and perforating operation with its annual job capacity as 36,000 wells, higher than 92.5% of the identification coincidence rate for oil/gas pay zones and the customers’ satisfaction rate is 96.4%.
As the well logging technology center of CNPC, the company’s technological center is capable of the applied research of logging technology, comprehensive instrument development, reservoir evaluation, well logging software integration and the laboratory measurement study of rocks and fluid physical property in CNPC Key Laboratory with international standard downhole tools calibration facility, measurement value transmission wells, core plug experiment &analysis equipments and relevant advices.
